UNDERGRADUATES

Obtaining information about pre-tests and certification tests is the responsibility of the student!

Undergraduates must meet all pre-requisites in order to be eligible to take state certification examinations.

Undergraduates must be admitted to Teacher Education before approval to test will be granted. Contact 825-3074 with questions.

Required certification exams are listed on your certification plan.

Students submit requests to test via TAR for each exam they wish to take. (see TAR button on left.)

TAR communicates via Islander email.

Content Exam

Content exams require approval from the content area program coordinator and TAR automatically generates this approval request via email. Please note that content area approvals may require meeting pre-requisites. Contact the content area program coordinator for more information. See TExES Approval Contacts button on left.

Approval for the TExES Generalist EC-4 content exam is granted by the State Testing Coordinator's office and is based on enrollment in Field Based courses.

Submit your request via TAR.

PPR Exam

In order to take the state pedagogy exam, you must complete the PPR pre-test and analysis of score report during your Field Based coursework. Both are a part of your Field Based course.

Submit your request via TAR once the PPR pre-test and analysis have been completed.
