YOU NEED TO KNOW
Obtaining
information about pre-tests and certification tests is the responsibility
of the student!

TExES
requests to test must be submitted via TAR. Click on the TAR button
on the right for more information.
TAR
shuts down at noon on the day before the regular registration
deadline to process all existing requests. Submitting your request
late will cause you to incur additional testing fees. TAR
does not operate during most holidays or Spring Break. Some
request to test deadlines may differ from ETS regular registration
deadlines.
TAR
Requests submitted after Noon on the date before the regular registration
deadline will incur the ETS late fee.
If
you requested to test and were approved but did not test, your
approval should still be available. Check the ETS website and
if the test you wish to take shows, you may register.
If
you tested but do not know your score yet, DO NOT request via
TAR to take the same exam until you do know your score. See
below.

Repeat Testing Registration
If you do not obtain a passing score, you may wish to retake the
test. If the score reporting date for the test you previously
took is on or after the regular registration deadline for the
next test date, you can register to retake the test during the
late registration period without paying the late fee. If you register
online, the late fee will automatically be refunded. If you register
by phone (1-800-205-2626), tell the Customer Service Representative
that you are calling to retake a test on which you did not obtain
a passing score and need to have the late registration fee waived.
